We are looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join our team. Located in Central Phoenix, the Adobe Clubhouse at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a welcoming golf club atmosphere. We want our members and guests to receive an unforgettable dining experience. In addition to our Restaurant and Market, we will be hosting a variety of banquets and events in creating memorable experiences.
Job Summary
The Server’s purpose is to serve food and beverages and to provide a positive dining experience for guests and members by ensuring they feel welcome, comfortable, and important. The goal is to provide a memorable dining experience for each guest’s overall satisfaction and enhances the reputation of the Adobe Clubhouse food outlets.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee’s position.
Customer Service:
Greet guests / members in a warm and friendly manner.
Answer questions about the menu.
Make recommendations based on customer preferences.
Menu Knowledge:
Describe dishes accurately including ingredients and preparation methods.
Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen is running out of any item.
Answer questions on dietary restrictions or special requests.
Order Taking:
Take orders accurately by writing down the order and then entering the order into the POS at the server
Suggest additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.
Timing and Coordination:
Coordination with kitchen staff is important in timing of orders.
Ensure food and beverage is served promptly and at an appropriate flow.
Table Maintenance:
Monitor tables, ensure guests and members have everything they need (e.g., water refills, utensils, etc.).
Clear empty dishes, as needed
Prepares tables, lays out napkins and utensils, making sure condiments are refilled, and performing all other preparation tasks.
Handle payment process accurately and timely.
Other:
May be scheduled to work at banquet events.
Participates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.
Performs side work, as assigned.
Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
QualificationsEducation and Experience Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two to three years related server experience and/or training preferred
Experience working at banquet events helpful but willing to provide training
Skills and Abilities
Possess strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service – should be friendly, approachable, and attentive.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Strong teamwork and collaboration: Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and other restaurant staff.
Strong communication skills including effective listening.
Highly organized to manage multiple tables.
Flexible and adaptable to changes in workflow, menu items, staff, etc.
Ability to remain calm during peak hours or challenging guests or members.
Comfortable in upselling.
Demonstrated working knowledge of food handling regulations.
Computer Skills
Required:
Ability to use Point of Sale (POS) System
Ability to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll database
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required: Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.
Unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications. Must meet age requirements to handle and serve alcoholic beverages. Must be at least 19 years of age.
Other
Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
