The impact you will have in this role:

Responsible for creating, communicating, and facilitating alignment to enterprise-wide application architecture, technology strategy and standards, architecture and design principals, guidelines, and common solutions. Responsible for advancing application architecture in support of DTCC's business and IT strategy and developing roadmaps and blueprints to ensure architecture goals are met in both tactical and strategic frames. Collaborates with a broad range of team members including Business, Application Development, Business Operations, Tribe Stakeholders, etc. to assure solutions efficiently address a wide range of functional and non-functional requirements vital to uphold the DTCC brand image and meet industry needs.

You will require to have highly sophisticated technical skills in multiple technical domains along with demonstrated ability to master new technical domains to a level sufficient to contribute to the technology strategy, vision, requirements, and solutions for large-scale initiatives or as needed. Outstanding partnership, communication, and leadership skills, particularly the ability to influence, are vital to being effective in this position. Specialized knowledge of DTCC applications and/or financial industry post trade solutions is a significant differentiator among candidates. Candidates who lack such knowledge will be expected to rapidly develop financial industry post trade proven experience. Position requires highly sophisticated analytical skills and demonstrated leadership capability.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Domain/Application Architecture Practice

• Understand business needs and IT strategy and assets to identify efficient solution architecture appropriate to business needs and technology context
• Understand implementation context and team capabilities to provide appropriate mentorship for team to successfully implement application architecture
• Work with a range of collaborators to assure solution architecture addresses the needs of all stakeholders
• Assist with project execution including guidance to project planning and risk identification
• Assist with closure including assessing and helping managing risks to closure
• Research leading ideas, methodologies, and technology to enable superior delivery capabilities.
• Assist compliance and governance when adopting new practices as well as partnering in development of appropriate governance for new technologies and application architecture practices
• Delivers conceptual (North Stars) and logical architecture designs at domain, application and project level. Ensures application designs meet the architectural designs for business applications
• Assist to promote the efficient re-use of IT assets
• Advises project team during development to assure compliance with architectural principles, guideline, and standards
• Shares DTCC’s architectural vision with stakeholders through informal discussion and formal presentations
• Provides technical mentorship to multi-functional, cross-platform application development teams
• Contributes to the technology strategy, vision, requirements, and solutions for large-scale domain specific initiatives
• Contributes to "buy vs. build" analyses of proposed business solutions
• Promotes the development of, and alignment to, processes
