About the Team: 

The Supply Chain team turns design intent into executable reality, balancing lead time, cost, complexity, and manufacturability to ensure we can build and scale Terran R. On this team, you're not just placing orders; you're actively shaping the solution. With full ownership across raw materials, capital equipment, and services, the role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution. As the company scales, supply chain becomes increasingly central, working closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and more to make decisions that work for today but also for tomorrow. This is a team for those who want to operate at the intersection of technical ambition and business execution, driving tangible progress to keep the Terran R program on track.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Valves Supply Chain to lead the team responsible for all sourcing, procurement, and supply planning of the Valves for Relativity’s next generation launch vehicle, Terran-R.

  • Lead the team responsible for all Planning, Sourcing, and Procurement of the Valves supply chain for Relativity’s next generation launch vehicle, Terran-R, including but not limited to Relativity designed products for flight, ground infrastructure, vendor owned IP valves (E.g., solenoids, check valves, etc.), COTS Hardware (E.g., Fasteners, Seals, etc.), and other commodity groups.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to drive strategic value creation to the enterprise.
  • Drive the development of the Supply Management function, developing tools, processes and procedures that will lay the foundation of the organization’s capabilities.
  • Own supplier relationships and overarching strategy to ensure a supply of conforming products, with an emphasis on affordability and sustainability.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a highly talented team of Global Supply Managers and Global Supply Specialists based in Long Beach (CA).
  • Hire, train, and develop the team to support scaling operations from first launch to full-rate production, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of working in a supply chain management role responsible for direct materials procurement within a fast-paced manufacturing/operations or technology environment.
  • 2+ years leading a team within the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of supply chain evaluation, performance management, and development.
  • Experience in a New Product Introduction environment for low-volume, high-complexity programs.
  • Experience in enterprise systems (ERP/MRP).
  • Negotiation & contract management skills.

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • A technical understanding of valves & their manufacturing methods (I.e., CNC Machining, forging, casting, coatings, etc.) for launch vehicle design, fabrication, and ass
