The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an HR Solutions Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading and/or participating in the delivery of complex and global change projects in support of business objectives
• Leveraging strong project management capability by leading diverse HR projects across multiple disciplines
• Partnering with leaders to execute restructuring plans in alignment with business priorities, portfolio decisions, operating model changes, etc.
• Providing expertise on strategic workforce planning, including identifying current and anticipated capabilities and aligning the appropriate strategies to address (e.g., internal capability building, external talent acquisition strategies, etc.)
• Partnering with subject matter experts across HR’s Centers of Excellence by developing and implementing strategic priorities
• Designing HR processes to align to ParentCo’s operating model and new HR structure (potential, performance, promotion, etc.)
• Creating and implementing employee engagement initiatives to meet specific or nuanced needs within a BG or function

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of Human Resources and/or Project Management experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with Talent Neuron or other strategic workforce planning systems.
• Experience partnering with clients to achieve desired objectives
• Experience working on complex projects with change management implications
• Experience with strategic workforce planning and organizational design
• Diverse project management skills, including Agile methodology
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of change management, including identifying change impacts, creating and implementing mitigation strategies, and measuring change process/success
• Experience designing / redesigning global HR processes for efficiency.
• Diverse experience across multiple HR disciplines (plant, business, COEs, etc.) preferred
• Global HR experience preferred
• Bilingual proficiency preferred

Work location:

• On-site (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN, at least 4 days per week)

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international
