Role

We are looking for General Ledger Accountant to innovate, win and grow with us in Theale! 

Responsible for managing and running accurate accounting and financial activities under US GaaP, managing the local compliance requirements and providing necessary analysis and financial information to the business as required.

 

How you’ll contribute:

• Providing support to the FC and Financial accounting team.
• Responsibility for G/L accounting, and preparation of monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet in accordance with required deadlines. Ensuring accuracy of entries and performing Balance Sheet reconciliations under US GaaP & local GaaP
• Preparing and contributing to the required quarterly reporting.
• Preparing and working with the appropriate external supplier for Audit and any other local compliance requirements.
• Ad-hoc projects as and when required in a fast-paced environment
• Ongoing support to commercial team as appropriate
• Working with and alongside other team members within EMEA and globally.  Ensuring that processes remain consistent where practical.
• Continuously striving to develop and improve methodologies and efficiencies.
• Maintaining an ongoing review and offering recommendations for improvements

 

If you have two or more of the skills listed below, we would like to hear from you.

• US GAAP experience in a software/technology environment is highly desirable;
• Experience of working in a similar finance role within a French company;
• Experience with producing French statutory accounts and working with local auditors
• Commercial and business awareness;
• Good communication skills with French language skills
• Strong understanding of financial controls;
• Strong financial systems skills;
• Deadline orientated and an ability to stick to time lines
