We are seeking a Support Software Engineer to join our Digital Product team and be a key player in our mobile application development. You'll have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team, including designers, product managers, marketers, and health scientists, to create innovative, scalable, and trusted weight loss experiences for our users.

What You'll Do:

• Connect with Bluetooth-connected devices to capture user data
• Develop Android and iOS apps that interface with Bluetooth sensors and scales
• Exchange data with RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and scientists
• Integrate 3rd party hardware and SDK vendors into our mobile app
• Create unit tests to ensure code quality
• Research and implement improvements for Bluetooth features and functionality

What We're Looking For:

• Passion for building highly engaging and user-friendly mobile apps
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
• Experience building mobile apps that interface with Bluetooth devices
• Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols
• Previous experience developing consumer applications on Android or iOS
• Strong belief in the importance of great user experience design
• Comfortable taking ownership and solving technical challenges
• Thrives in a high-growth startup culture with ambitious product goals
• Understanding of the mobile application development pipeline, including App Store and Google Play publishing
• Previous experience working with medical or financial data

Requirements:

• B.S./B.A. degree in computer science or related field
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• 5+ years of experience working with Bluetooth SDKs and protocols
• 3+ years of mobile app development experience
• Proficiency in mobile-friendly languages and frameworks
• Experience with unit testing and automated test code
• Knowledge of publishing mobile apps to the App Store and Google Play
