We’re looking for a Finance Manager, Pan-TR Professional Services, to join the finance team supporting one pan-TR Professional services organization at Thomson Reuters.  Our team combines strategic thinking with data driven decision making to enable the business to realize its true potentials.

The Finance Manager, Pan-TR Professional Services, will focus on supporting GM - Professional Services business segment and her LT. This is a recently evolved role as the PS across TR has been brought together in one org.  This is a high visibility opportunity for you which requires someone to operate in fast paced environment and balance multiple priority projects at the same time. This is also a team lead role responsible for leading a small but highly competent team and is expected to seamlessly switch between a coach and player role as situation demands. The role has a unique vantage point as the business relies on Finance to provide various key inputs and be an active member of several of her operational calls with her direct leaders.

The Finance Manager, Pan-TR Professional Services role will get a full P&L overview for the business and should have the financial acumen to balance risks and opportunities to ensure continued profitable growth.  You would be expected to connect the dots between various parts of the business ranging from PS- Ops team, Subsegment GTM Organization, Segment Finance leads etc. In a very matrixed Finance organization at TR, this role is unique in the sense that You would have clear line of sight into both Revenue and Expenses and would be expected to have insight into operational drivers of Professional Services in a SaaS industry.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Finance Manager, Pan-TR Professional Services you will

  • Engage with business GMs, and her LT to ensure they are equipped with key metrics and tools to make sound financial decisions
  • Lead and assist the quarterly business reviews (QBRs) in close partnership with business and segment finance partners to present to Corporate -ELT
  • Own the Revenue forecasting for the business by being the finance representative at the table, in partnership with GMs of respective subsegments and Finance leads of subsegments.
  • Communicate the monthly financial results to business partners for Sales, Revenue and Direct ExBITDA, and build long term trusted relationship as the go to Finance resource for understanding financial performance drivers
  • Owns Quarterly Revenue forecasting, and execute on long range planning (36 months) ensuring financial goals are balanced between realistic and challenging
  • Own any adhoc request from business and/or Segment Finance leads to quickly identify trends and effectively communicate to the business to unearth hidden opportunities and risks
  • Coach a young team of analysts, motivate them and keep them engaged to develop into future finance leaders
  • Collaborate with wider DSIG organization to inculcate best practices across the organization and improve finance processes

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Finance Manager, Pan-TR Professional Services, if your background includes:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in Finance roles supporting a business especially Professional Services organizations in B2B software industry.
  • Bachelors degree or higher (MBA.CPA) strongly preferred
  • Proactive, very organized, ability to multitask, managing time and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strategic and critical thinker, Self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously, collaborate and influence key leaders within the context of a complex, matrix organization to drive results
  • Ability to manage a team/team members and develop staff ensuring cohesiveness, collaboration and clear linking of objectives and outcomes
  • Familiarity with data automation and analytical tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau etc.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting principles
