JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Human Resources has an exciting opportunity on our HR Data and Onboarding team! We are searching for a Human Resources Assistant specifically supporting our Data Team.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Process Human Resources and Payroll transactions into our Human Capital Management system, Workday
  • Transactions processed in Workday include the following: terminations, job changes, graduate assistant appointments, compensation changes, one-time payments, supplemental pays, reappointments, add contingent workers, and background checks
  • Ensuring timely processing in accordance with payroll deadlines for all employee and appointment types

This position will be filled as a Support or Intermediate Support depending on the final applicant’s experience and education. The Support level requires a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional education and/or experience are required for higher-level positions.
