You will join Cook & Boardman’s project management office, participating in the successful delivery of IT projects to the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing technology projects, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
Essential Functions
• Create, maintain, and manage project plans, including defining milestones, tasks, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Execute acquisition integration playbooks in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with IT management to escalate decisions or risks that fall outside established policies and procedures.
• Facilitate project team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage project backlogs and forecast timelines based on scope, resource availability, and project priorities.
• Communicate project objectives, expectations, risks, and status updates effectively to project sponsors and stakeholders.
• Work to ensure projects are completed on time and within agreed-upon timelines established with project sponsors.
• Utilize project management software and tools in alignment with predefined frameworks and standards.
• Monitor project task completion and track project commitments and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively managing expectations.
• Coordinate with and drive vendors and third-party contractors as required to support project delivery.
• Track, analyze, and report on project performance and resource utilization using defined KPIs and metrics.
Qualifications
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a field related to information technology or project management.
• 2+ years of professional experience in an IT project coordination or IT project delivery role.
• Demonstrated experience in a previous technical IT role supporting project initiatives.
• Experience coordinating complex, large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Experience coordinating technical projects such as O365, network, and application migrations.
• Experiencing coordinating projects across multiple areas of IT including infrastructure, security, and M&A integrations.
• Preferred but not required qualifications:
• Project management certification, such as PMP, CAPM, or CompTIA Project+.
• IT certifications, such as CompTIA Network+ and Security+.
• General understanding of network concepts. (LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Experience administering virtual desktop technologies such as Remove Desktop Services and/or Azure Virtual Desktop
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 via the admin center, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Intune.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience coordinating IT projects related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, organizing and delegating work, and partnering with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain forward progress.
