Job Summary
The Capture Management Director will lead our RFP responses with a focus on winning each engagement by fully leveraging all of our competitive advantages. The role will be pivotal in identifying any challenge Comcast might need to overcome, challenging and solving the issue with internal stakeholders, and winning the business. Strategically, the Capture Manager will work with our Sales teams to prepare for opportunities early, and with internal teams to meet all requirements before they appear in an RFP.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional Capture Team for Commercial opportunities to produce winning proposals.
- Partner with sales teams and leadership to proactively identify and win significant commercial opportunities.
- Review RFP/RFI requirements and develop win strategies with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure proposals are compelling, complete, and compliant with evaluation criteria.
- Continuously enhance our work product and tools to maintain a competitive edge.
- Conduct “lessons learned” debrief post RFP process and update.
- Train and upskill team and partners on government/commercial opportunities.
- Provide regular updates on RFP status and potential risks.
- Ensure timelines allow for thorough content and compliance reviews.
- Manage multiple proposals at once and assist with other RFPs as needed
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with proposal management for large complex RFPs.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Proposal Management (APMP).
Key Competencies:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to summarize non-standard business risks and negotiate/recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, at times with rapid turnaround times.
- Ability to lead teams effectively under proposal deadline pressure, while encouraging enthusiasm for the task.
- Proven ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
- Must have the ability to present information to all levels of the internal organization and to external team members. Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal working hours to meet customer-driven, firm deadlines, if needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience with graphics, desktop publishing or related field is a plus.
