The hourly range for this role, based in Kentucky is $17.80 to $22.25, range will vary if outside of this location.  Base salaries Hourly Rates are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Description

Rabbit Hole Distillery is a state-of-the-art facility, nestled in Nulu, Louisville’s hub of art, food, and culture, and invites you to come and witness our full whiskey-making process, craft cocktail bar, and curated retail offerings.

This will be an opportunity to join Kentucky’s thriving Bourbon industry! As the initial point of contact for guests, the Retail Associate is the face and voice of Rabbit Hole Distillery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and engage with all visitors with the intention to make personal connections, promote brand loyalty, and best represent Rabbit Hole Distillery’s culture for an optimal visitor experience
• Promote sales through product and merchandise knowledge, visual display and organization, and a high level of customer service and care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked retail area
• Possess and masterfully convey a full understanding of Rabbit Hole Distillery’s bourbon products and bourbon-making process
• Support Rabbit Hole Brand Home operations including the setup bourbon tastings, special events, and other activities associated with the overall visitor experience.
• Providing an optimal customer service experience for guests
• Assist visitors in their selection of merchandise and be an influential factor in their choice of bourbon
• Support retail operations including merchandise movement, floor re-stocking, cleaning and supporting inventory management

• Strong organization, time management, and strategic planning skills
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect and build rapport with empathy and understanding
• Ability to be flexible, improvise, and adapt
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Knowledge of brand and distilling
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., outlook, teams, excel)
• Knowledge of event scheduling software (e.g., AnyRoad)
• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale software (e.g., Shopify)
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends

Education & Experience

• High school diploma, bachelors in relevant field (e.g., hospitality business, communications, marketing) preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
