Director, NAND Technical Marketing

Micron’s Consumer Component Marketing Organization is seeking a Director of NAND Technical Marketing. We are focused at promoting Micron NAND components in the consumer segment which is a large scale, fast paced and dynamic business. In this role, the Director will lead a team of engineers and technicians to validate and enable both Micron and Spectek NAND in various consumer applications. In this position the Director will need to establish strong relationships and collaborate with customers and key partners as well as within Micron sales, quality, engineering and even supply chain. 

Key Requirements: 

• Deep knowledge of NAND technology, Controllers and Flash management Firmware. 

• Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

• Executive presence, with the ability to communicate clearly, build relationships and influence at all levels in Micron and at customers and partner organizations  

• Ability to travel a few times a year to meet with customers and partners.

• Background in quality is an advantage.  

The Role of Director of NAND components technical marketing includes: 

• Define and own all aspects of both the Micron and Spectek NAND Consumer Component specs and roadmap 

• Manage P&L of CCO NAND Business (>$500M) and own quarterly/annual financial goals, partnering closely with CCO Sales Team 

• Ability to work with Micron internal engineering and quality organization on new product definition as well as to resolve technical and quality issues as they come up 

• Working closely with customers on both technical issues as well as pricing and supply allocation 

• Working closely with 3rd party NAND controller vendors (Phison, SMI, Maxiotech, and many others) to enable Micron NAND for use by our customers.

• Drive speedy resolution of customer issues seen during qualification and production. 

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to validate and enable both Micron and Spectek NAND 

• Work closely with Spectek engineering and operations define NAND reclamation policies.  

• Define Pricing Strategies to meet or exceed quarterly financial goals.  

• Define go to market plans for new process nodes 

Experience and Education:

• At least 15 years of experience in the Memory industry and at least 5 years as a team leader 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent and an advanced education in business administration. 

• Boise Idaho. San Jose California may be considered.
