What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Data Scientist to unlock actionable insights from our product and sales data, driving informed decision-making across the company. This individual will work closely with Product and Sales leadership, answering key questions about product usage, proactively surfacing trends, and supporting our growth in a data-driven way.

You will join the Product Team and report to our Chief Executive Officer. This is a hybrid role based in either New York City, NY or San Francisco Bay Area with in-office requirements of 2 days per week. The salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and other teams to identify the features and behaviors that move the needle, and help us make those behaviors unfair advantages for our business
  • Analyze product usage data to generate actionable insights that inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Analyze enterprise product usage patterns to extract actionable insights that inform prospecting and ICP development.
  • Answer strategic questions, such as “How many of our customers are using X product and what do they look like to find more of them?”
  • Build and optimize data pipelines to efficiently ingest, transform, and store large datasets for analysis.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations in tools like Looker to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from our databases, occasionally writing scripts or code to automate workflows.
  • Proactively surface insights and trends, alerting stakeholders to opportunities for growth or areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture by sharing best practices and enabling teams to leverage analytics tools.

What You’ll Need

  • 5-8+ years in a data science role
  • Experience as a first data team hire, preferred
  • Proactive and resourceful, comfortable as the first data hire, with the ability to independently design and build foundational data pipelines from the ground up.
  • Ownership attitude with experience either directly making decisions or partnering with engineering teams to make good decisions based on the scale of the business
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying large databases. Familiarity with Looker or similar BI tools is required. Basic coding skills for scripting and automation are a plus.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify patterns, and distill findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong ability to convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, or Operations teams.
  • Comfortable identifying opportunities for analysis without being prompted and driving initiatives forward independently.
  • Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure, such as AWS (EFS, S3), GCP (BigQuery, Looker Studio)
  • Deep experience with Statistics and SQL
