Job Description:

   

Reporting to the VP, Global IT – Subscription Based Offer Enablement, the Director of Subscription Service Management is the design authority for aaS commercial processes and systems for HPE.  This role is part of a team of professionals tasked with driving alignment across HPE’s business units and functions to a common roadmap of experiences and capabilities that, taken together, enable subscription-based sales of HPE GreenLake SaaS, IaaS, and other offers.  This role will lead the team that owns key deliverables such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process design and mapping, platform data design, test planning & orchestration, and interlocks with teams both upstream (e.g. GTM and BU teams) and downstream (e.g. Finance and Operations).  The primary focus is on subscription capability development on the SAP BRIM (Billing & Revenue Innovation Management) platform, but also extends to the broader ecosystem touching S4 HANA, SfDC, Entity Master Data, and other boundary systems and tools.  Having prior experience and the ability to develop domain knowledge across the Subscription to Cash life cycle as well as Finance Record to Report are key areas. This is a tremendous opportunity to be an integral part of HPE’s pivot to Everything as a Service, and will take on developing and delivering the core capabilities to make it happen.  The ability to lead a team, learn quickly, manage ambiguity, and simplify the complex are critical.

Responsibilities

• Drives high-impact organizational and operational planning initiatives, including M&A projects.
• Provides innovative thought leadership and shapes the knowledge base within area of expertise.
• Demonstrates thought leadership by coaching and advising VP, SVP and other company executives.
• Influences C-level executives on a wide range of business issues, including risk management and implementation tactics.
• Applies financial rigor and acumen to all initiatives that lead executive and company's business teams to share holder value based decisions
• Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and departmental team performance goals and manages/drives change.
• Drives process & capability activities around GreenLake Subscription Services (e.g. quoting, ordering, contract management, service activation, billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition):
  • Supporting business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Identify metrics that will measure, monitor platform health & performance
  • Document capability features and specifications working with IT and business engineering
  • Working with cross-functional process leads to develop UAT test scenarios
  • Support writing test scripts and detailed steps
  • Propose capability and process policies
  • Support Hypercare/warranty periods post-MTP
• Applies subject matter knowledge to lead the team toward solutions to common and complex business/technical issues
• Leads team and provides daily guidance, performance reviews, and motivation to excel
• Help to identify MOC, what’s changing, benefits, impacts
• Plans, manages and monitors core program delivery metrics & activities
• Engage in continuous collaboration across projects and daily ops – shared accountability with other functions
• WW position must have time zone flexibility

Education and Experience

• Strong business acumen with 15+ years’ total experience
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent
• MBA highly desired, or advanced university degree. Bachelors degree required.
• Prior corporate leadership; HPE experience – preferred
• Achieved planned financial results at an organizational level.
• Visio, flow charting, excellent Microsoft suite skills
