Senior Network Security Engineer

The Senior Network Security Engineer will provide all aspects of planning, implementation, and support for Mspark’s computer and network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- The role includes supporting the organization's network and server infrastructure and ensuring connectivity for all employees and locations.
- Work closely with departmental peers to ensure the organization’s systems and data security.
- Initiates and fosters partnerships with key stakeholders to better understand the primary objectives of the business unit to proactively improve upon or develop new solutions through technology.
- Implement security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.
- Work as part of the IT Operations Department, regularly interacting with Developers, other IT Engineers, and the IT Help Desk as needed to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Leadership role in the planning and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans and exercises.
- Follow best logical and physical security practices to improve the company’s security posture continually.
- Monitor and support all network equipment, maintaining current code levels.
- Lead role in the organization’s patch management process.
- Installing, updating, and configuring security infrastructure and other security measures.
- Respond to security incidents and assist with incident response plans.
- Occasional after-hours support and travel are required for preventative maintenance, break/fix activities, and project work.
- Other Duties as assigned.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical degree.
- 8+ years’ experience as a network engineer implementing and supporting large enterprise networks.
- Hands-on experience installing and supporting enterprise routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience installing and supporting virtualized environments that support Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience installing and Supporting SDWAN Technologies.
- Experience installing and supporting network storage equipment (NAS, SAN)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak on varying technical levels.
- Self-starter who can work independently on complex IT projects.
- Experience installing and configuring Firewalls.
- Experience installing and maintaining Network Monitoring and Alerting Products.
- Experience deploying and maintaining secure wireless network configurations.
- Experience working with cloud architecture and infrastructure.
