Bosch Australia’s Chassis Systems Control (CC) team is responsible for the development of hardware and software systems that improve vehicle safety and agility for our mostly automotive customers. Our customer base is global having engineered projects and solutions for Europe, North America, China, Japan, Malaysia and Korea.

Job Description

We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Validation & Verification Engineer. 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton and may involve occasional domestic and international travel as required.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Responsibility for developing, planning, and coordinating Embedded Software Validation and Verification activities to support customer projects.
  • Overseeing the successful operation of Software test room ensuring equipment is in working order and sufficient to perform required testing for customer projects.
  • Providing technical leadership and / or process training to the business unit for software testing processes where required.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure correctness of software validation and verification plan.
  • Coordinating test execution activities with the local or global Test Execution team to ensure that all tests are correctly executed and within the planned test time.
  • Evaluating test results with software development team to identify software defects and to ensure defects are correctly evaluated and recorded. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a self-motivated professional with a high attention for detail, the ability to prioritise tasks, across multiple areas of the business, coordinate various team members, manage diverse topics and priorities, and establish effective relationships across all levels of an organization. 

To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:

  • An Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer systems, Software or equivalent qualification.
  • Experienced in managing engineering validation and verification activities within the mechanical, software or electrical domains
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Validation and Verification processes.
  • Significant experience in managing product Validation and Verification activities, including managing test equipment. 
  • Experienced in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python).
  • Experienced in working in an AGILE environment with cross discipline teams. 
  • Experienced in leading and coordinating team members / test group.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

Other desirable experience that would be strongly considered:

  • Holder of Test certification (e.g I.S.T.Q.B or equivalent).
  • Experience within the Automotive Industry.
