IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Landscape Architect 1 - Project Manager in our Boston, MA office office, with flexibility for hybrid work. As a Senior Landscape Architect 1 - Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design efforts on all project types, acting as the project manager on less complex site projects and assist a senior project manager in project management on more complex site projects.

Scope
The Senior Landscape Architect 1 - Project Manager, there will be a responsibility for working closely with both internal team colleagues, as well as other IMEG land development professionals that are involved in the land development process for the respective project. Primary responsibilities will include plan design, plan processing and plan implementation through the project design process. In this position, the expectation is to manage the project’s budget to meet the project goals and client expectations. The role will also involve leading and mentoring the team’s project landscape designers and landscape architecture graduates.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Prepares concept and schematic landscape design plans

• Reviews exhibits and renderings prepared by others before being finalized

• Prepares landscape code research and prepares and reviews landscape and planting plans

• Completes site visits and tree assessments

• Completes landscape and planting plans, and tree preservation plans

• Review and approve tree preservation plans if the employee is a certified arborist

• Prepares and reviews construction documents, details and specification. Prepares and reviews cost estimates and take offs

• Completes and reviews site as-builts

• Project management on less complex site projects, including budgeting, scheduling, billing, determining staff needs, attending meetings and addressing client concerns and deliverables

• Train, mentor and motivate staff

• Build, maintain and develop client relationships

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Skilled in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite

• Good graphic skills and strong technical design skills

• Good analysis and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail

• Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Good organizational skills, particularly with regard to project management

• Ability to sell work and develop client relationships

• Ability to mentor, train, motivate and lead others

• Demonstrates leadership traits in the Project
