Data Warehousing Developer, Assistant Vice President, Hybrid

Who we are looking for

The Alternatives Investment Servicing team is looking for an excellent team player with 5+ years' experience in building Data Warehousing solutions, preferably using Oracle, with more recent exposure to Snowflake and/or Delta Lake technologies. The resource will have to understand the business requirements, design, develop, test and deploy applications and data pipelines.

What you will be responsible for

As a Data Warehousing Developer you will

• Design, build and test end to end data pipeline including data ingestion (streaming, events, and batch)
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines on cloud-based infrastructure using Azure, Snowflake, Cosmos DB
• Work extensively on Databricks, Oracle RDBMS and general Data Warehousing patterns.
• Tune the database objects having performance issues
• Support in resolving Production issues
• Be part of an Agile team and develop dataflows using Snowflake, Oracle PL/SQL, Databricks

• Expert Knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
• Good experience in using tools like TOAD/SQL Developer
• Well versed with Data Warehousing concepts, design and implementation
• Recent exposure on Cloud Data Warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
• Experience performing data analysis and data exploration
• Basic knowledge of Unix & shell scripting

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant discipline is a must
• 5+ years of development experience in IT field
• Certifications on Oracle, Azure and Snowflake are preferred

Additional requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner both written and orally
• Be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and self-motivation
• Ability to multi-task, meet aggressive timelines and have strong work ethics
• Experience of working in the financial industry
• Experience with agile development methodology
• Any experience on Databricks, Scala and Snowflake is plus
• Experience on Cosmos DB, Apache Airflow is plus
• Experience in micro-services architecture and understanding of Cloud Computing (Azure and/or AWS) is highly desirable
