About the Role
We are looking for a curious and innovative individual to join the iptiQ Americas team!
You will lead our efforts to proactively leverage data to identify misconduct, fraud, poor quality business, and other anomalies. You will also determine what investigation and remediation actions to take and implement. Your goal will be to improve the quality of our book of business and ensure we treat our customers, agents, and partners fairly.
Additionally you will provide timely, practical, high-quality risk and control advice across the end-to-end insurance value stream.
Your responsibilities will include, however, are not limited to:
- Monitoring of business activity quality and selection of outliers to be investigated
- Investigation of business activity anomalies, including data analysis, internal and external fact gathering, interviews, and engagement of third party investigators
- Implementation of both immediate risk mitigation measures and final issue resolution
- Partnering with Data Science to add risk indicators to key business activity monitors to identify additional anomalies and reduce false-positives
- Lead development and continuous improvement of controls to mitigate operational, compliance, and conduct related risks while promoting operational stability
- Build and maintain effective process documentation to ensure business quality review work is appropriately documented and current
- Collaborate with Sales Oversight and the Special Investigations Unit to support the investigation of potential fraud and misconduct
About You:

Relevant education and experience may include:
- University Undergraduate Degree required
- Experience and expertise in the US insurance industry of 5+ years in one or more of the following areas; claims investigation, Special Investigations Unit, or Internal Audit preferred
- Certifications in audit or fraud preferred; appropriate designations could include Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Good knowledge of conduct and fraud risk, preferably within the insurance industry
- Expert analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Qualifications in Data Science, Actuarial, or Data Analytics preferred
- Experience in proactive partner management, both internal and external preferred
- A solid understanding of US legal and regulatory frameworks to ensure operations, processes and controls are appropriate including practical experience of market practices
- Experience in preparing and presenting reports to senior leaders

For Armonk the estimated base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $110,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
