The Senior Coordinator is a self-motivated individual with organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an open and collaborative team environment. The primary functions for this role include processing incoming fraud claims for the Fraud Department, providing decline letters and sending payment to financial institutions. They will also be responsible for handling foreign currency orders on behalf of Capital One customers. A senior coordinator is also responsible for providing fellow team members and internal customers with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment while displaying sound judgment in decision making.
Responsibilities
Process incoming Fraud Claims received via email, fax and/or mail
Process claim declines as appropriate to other financial institutions
Process money movement via wire transfers, check issues and GL to GL movements
Process Recovery Check Mail deposits in the office on a rotational basis
Process Foreign Currency orders
Strong communication skills required to interact with internal and external customers and financial institutions on a daily basis
Execute tasks efficiently, following procedures, meeting regulatory and customer experience requirements, and make effective independent decisions when necessary
Responsible for ensuring Job Aids are updated as necessary and undergo an annual review.
Back up Principal Coordinators in their absence and perform certain Principal Coordinator tasks as necessary.
Participate in cross training and new-hire training
Provide recommendations for department goals, process improvements, policies and procedures
Able to perform detailed work with accuracy and meet deadlines
Maintain a positive attitude with internal customers and peers
Other duties as assigned by the manager

Location: This position requires on-site attendance 2 - 3 days a week, as needed in Richmond, VA
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of Customer Service or Call Center experience
At least 1 year of experience working in the financial or banking industry
At least 1 year experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
At least 4 years of Customer Service or Call Center experience
At least 2 years of experience working in the financial or banking industry
At least 1 year of data entry experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $49,774 - $49,774 for Sr Ops Prod Coor
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
