Full Time Dental Assistant Schedule

Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch breaks

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Dentists chairside
  • Welcomes patients
  • Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
  • Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
  • Instrument sterilization according to regulations
  • Maintains accurate patient records
  • Lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain clean and stocked operatories

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant training/school certification 
  • Radiology certification
  • Required At least 2 years of General practice dental assisting clinical experience
  • Preferred experience with concentration on cosmetic, oral surgery, and periodontal surgeries 
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Experience with digital software, experience with Denticon a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowlege of scanning, basic assisting duties, intra-oral camera and good communicator
