  • Define and design optical components for next generation Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality experience.
  • Establish engineering specifications, including key performance metrics, test methods, and test requirements for optical components and subsystems.
  • Work with diverse and highly interdisciplinary team members, e.g., optical design & simulation, process development and supply chain, to develop and mature new technologies for the free form optics.
  • Lead the development during New Product Introduction to scale up for high volume manufacturing.
  • Define future optics technology and scope out New Technology Introduction.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Optics, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Foreign degree equivalent accepted.
  • Requires 24 months of experience involving the following:
  • 1. Research or advanced optics development
  • 2. Developing systems with multi-function, multi-disciplinary threads
  • 3. Optics systems design and integration, imaging, illumination, radiometry and photometry, physical and geometric optics, or polarization
  • 4. Optical and sensor system design maturation, including requirement development from physical based modeling, and knowledge of fabrication/vendor processes
  • 5. System optimization and analysis tools including MATLAB, C++, Java, or Python and
  • 6. Optical system/module simulation, design, and optimization tools including Zemax, LightTools, or CodeV
