Warehouse Operations Manager

The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for daily shipping fulfillment, receiving, inventory accuracy and leading operation improvement projects as well as employee performance metrics. This position focuses on the development and implementation of necessary warehouse controls and procedures for optimal warehouse efficiency and customer service. This is a working manager position. You will lead a team of 3-6 employees. Staffing will be determined by the amount of orders and peak sales seasons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare orders each morning for daily fulfillment
  • Work alongside staff to fulfillment shipping and receiving needs
  • Plan, develop, organize, and evaluate the operations of the warehouse
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and communicate this information to warehouse personnel
  • Ensure a stable working solution that meets Vivint’s delivery requirements by implementing necessary quality control and production processes
  • Oversee physical inventory cycle counts
  • Plan, schedule and conduct employee training to ensure proper skill and knowledge levels of warehouse personnel
  • Maintain safety programs and enforce OSHA compliance to guarantee a safe workspace
  • Maintain 5S compliance
  • Ensure daily orders are shipped same day to prevent backlog orders
  • Oversee production of shipping and receiving
  • Staff and train all new employees and temp labor
  • Manage team performance to meet or exceed operational goals
  • Support and develop employees through continued training, coaching, and motivation
  • Conduct team meetings in which employees receive training, share concerns, and set team and individual goals
  • Manage employee time tracking and time-off requests
  • Ensure employees work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and loss of materials and equipment
  • Set the ideal example of safety and performance for all direct reports
  • Special projects or other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Logistics and/or Warehouse Operation.
  • Previous management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Able to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, frequent deadline environment
  • Experience with SAP WM system
  • Proficiency in MSOffice applications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complicated business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and compellingly with senior business executives
  • Demonstrated ability to use quantitative approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytical and visualization software i.e. Tableau

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly analytical with strong, demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • “Owner’s” attitude, including a willingness to tackle problems through to solutions and an ability to work both independently and across functions

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
