Neurosurgery Medical Assistant

Busy Neurosurgery Practice (www.eastbaybrainandspine.com) seeks an experienced Full-time Medical Assistant/Front Office in our Walnut Creek office. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence. This position will consist of mainly front office duties including:

• Scheduling appointments
• Responding to patient calls
• Prior authorizations
• Data entry into Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
• Scanning and faxing

Requirements

Mandatory qualifications:

• Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Electronic Health Records experience (for example, EPIC)
• Bilingual – Spanish
• If candidate has surgical scheduling experience this will be considered

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$21.00-$41.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
