The Mechanical Engineer Intern will assist in conceptualizing and developing products containing mechanical as well as electromechanical components for the manufacture, assembly, and test of RAVE IFE products that are required for airline customer orders. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist Mechanical Engineers in the design of new products that meet or exceed all customer requirements for functionality, performance, and reliability while improving the overall passenger experience, visual appearance, and ease of use of the Company’s products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Component and simple assembly design
- Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring
- Conduct tests
- Design manufacturing fixtures
- Support senior colleagues
- May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goals
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline
- Experience with Solidworks
- Courses and/or experience related to Solidworks Flow Simulation experience (thermal simulation for electronics)
- Courses and/or experience related with molded plastics design
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
