Staff Engineer, Full Stack

We are seeking a talented Fullstack Engineer to join our AdOps team at Madhive. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our technology stack and contribute to the success of our products. You will work on a variety of projects spanning authorization, observability, data analytics, testing, and automation.

What you’ll do:

• Driving design and architecture discussions and building alignment on complex technical decisions.
• Enhance authorization mechanisms to strengthen security and compliance.
• Develop client-facing UI components to provide users with comprehensive observability of the system.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and colleagues to ensure buy-in for initiatives.
• Actively participate in architectural discussions and decision-making processes.
• Implement new tooling to create dashboards, enabling users to monitor and analyze system performance.
• Ensure accurate data flow through pipelines.
• Cultivate an ongoing mindset for testing and automation.
• Utilize tools such as Playwright for end-to-end testing to enhance the quality of the software.
• Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure system reliability.
• Engage in both backend and frontend development, with a strong preference for frontend work.

Who you are:

• 8+ years experience in full-stack development with a focus on frontend technologies (React).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable expertise in backend development, we use Golang.
• Proficiency in implementing access control features and ensuring robust authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with observability tools such as Looker, OpenTelemetry, Centry, and New Relic.
• Familiarity with testing tools, particularly Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Cloud-based software development and familiarity with open-source technology options 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The approximate compensation range for this role is $230,000-$285,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by several factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
