Advanced Systems Analyst

Job Summary: 

A System Administrator specializes in diagnosing and solving problems for complex servers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data centers infrastructure including on-prem and cloud infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of systems, and will also focus on data center strategy.

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background in servers, storage systems / solutions, infrastructure architecture, data centers, networks and fluency in operating systems. Excellent problem-solving skills to work closely with IT teams to formulate a plan to implement necessary upgrades, patches, or troubleshooting to solve the problems. Also document changes and follow all change management procedures. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and support Server OS patching and security.
• Administer and support services.
• Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of services.
• Perform system backups and recovery.
• Implement and maintain security best practices for all environments.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems and occasional weekend/holiday maintenance.
• Conduct system security audits and support vulnerability assessments. 
• Analyze system performance to identify bottlenecks and single points of failure to improve performance. 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Maintain Change Management Database (CMDB) systems information and application owners. 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Proven experience with Linux environments, build and support, such as Red Hat. 
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, PRTG, or similar)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5-8 years of systems analyst experience
• A combination of degree and experience can be considered

 Annual Salary: $90,000-$113,000
