Position Summary:
Manages one or more clinical units. Duties include determining appropriate staffing levels to achieve organizational goals, participating in the development of the unit budget, monitoring the units' compliance with standards and supervision of nursing staff.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory role or higher. May consider candidates with (4) years of experience in a nursing lead role and completion of required hospital management training class.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Valid license from the State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse, and; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Some positions may require one or more of the following: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; Trauma Nurse Core Certification (TNCC); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP); additional certification in a Specialty Area.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES WILL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS WHO DOCUMENT THE FOLLOWING:- Strong nurse leader or Clinical Manager experience
- Prior experience supervising a minimum of 70 FTE's
- Minimum of two (2) years of CCU/CVCU nursing experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience:
- Supervisory experience managing a Cardiovascular Coronary Care Unit at a similar facility
- Recovering heart surgery patients
- Familiar with both Pathway to Excellence and Magnet standards
Comfort level and skills in leading and making decisions using shared governance frameworks
Ability to operationally lead and manage in a high-stress environment
