Job Summary:
The Colorado Fetal Care Center at the Children's Hospital of Colorado is seeking a board certified OBGyn Hospitalist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in a very unique obstetrical care unit. This will be a 0.55 – 0.8 FTE (eventually 1.0 by the 2nd half of 2027) faculty at the rank of Senior Instructor. The primary focus of the Hospitalist will be the clinical care of obstetrical patients in the Special Delivery Unit.
Responsibilities will include care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients within one unit. Additional responsibilities include the perioperative management of fetal surgical patients. Care coordination occurs in conjunction with CNMs, NPS, nurses, anesthesiologists, MFMs and various pediatric surgical subspecialists and neonatologists.
Labor and delivery management includes primary or assistant surgeon in cesarean, operative vaginal and spontaneous vaginal deliveries.
Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in providing evidence-based and patient-centered OB/GYN care and in collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.
The successful candidate must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Certified in OB/GYN at the time of hire. A minimum of 5 years’ post-residency experience is preferred. Experience in high volume/high-risk obstetrics is also preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide direct patient care to a panel of patients in the practice.
· May supervise clinical providers including resident physicians and nurse practitioners and provide performance feedback in all aspects of clinical functions.
· Supervise and ensure high quality of all clinical care services provided in the practice.
· Continually review current pediatric standards of care and work with leadership team to implement new processes as needed. Respond to clinical alerts and updates from public health officials and others.
· May participate in and/or oversee research activities, as needed, at the practice and provide feedback and consultation for studies as they progress. Delegate operational functions to other support staff as needed to accomplish the research goals and objectives.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
