Senior Software Engineer  

Wilmington, DE / Buffalo Grove, IL / Lewisville, TX / Logan, UT  

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior CloudOps Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will design, implement, and optimize our SaaS infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will collaborate across teams to support both on-premises and cloud environments, drive automation, and mentor team members. 

 

Some of the things you will be doing:  

Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep and Terraform. 

Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and automate deployments across multiple environments. 

Monitor system performance and cloud resources, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal uptime, scalability, and cost efficiency.  

Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to support operational excellence and rapid incident response.  

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both Azure and on-premises environments, performing root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement.  

Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to define and implement efficient workflows and best practices for DevOps and CloudOps.  

Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.  

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud and on-prem configurations, procedures, and runbooks. 

Ensure adherence to security best practices, compliance requirements, and company policies for change management, incident response, and time tracking. 

Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical incidents and maintain service reliability. 

Follow policies and procedures for time tracking, security, change control, problem and incident management.  

 

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do I need?  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including PaaS, networking, Azure Front Door, databases, storage, and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure.  

Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, or similar frameworks). 

Advanced scripting skills with Bash, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and YAML. 

Proven experience with containerization (Docker, Azure Container Apps) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes a plus). 

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and resolve issues efficiently. 

Experience implementing and managing monitoring and observability tools. 

Demonstrate ability to mentor and guide junior engineer. 

Focus on process improvement, automation, and thorough documentation. 

Experience with agile development process, including incremental deliveries, CI/CD, automated testing, approval workflows and gates. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Microsoft Azure Certification. 

Experience with large-scale SaaS environments and high-availability architectures. 

Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
