As the New Product Quality Engineer, you will have the chance to work with teammates throughout the company to provide an effective readiness management plan that ensures project teams are ready to perform tasks, deliver products or implement new processes. You will be responsible for driving top-notch quality with design engineers, the purchasing team and work closely with suppliers to ensure they meet DTNA expectations.

Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience​

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Identify and manages suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies.
  • Resolve quality spills at the TMP's caused by suppliers, from immediate containment until the final resolution and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identifies, coaches, and manages suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies
  • Work with alternative suppliers to mitigate supply disruption risks and provide directions to ensure the supplier meet DTNA Requirements.
  • Provides advice and training on quality protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited college/university and 2-4 years of relevant quality and/ or supplier management experience, OR  5 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and be highly organized
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in Tableau or Power BI
  • Uses analytical problem solving methodologies to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance and identify solutions
  • Working knowledge of PPAP process knowledge and Truck Industry Standards
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Knowledge of the practical application of quality engineering principles with proven ability to apply techniques, procedures, technologies and equipment to the production of products
  • Group leader or project lead
  • Knowledge of supplier quality and vehicle manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge in electrical and electronic hardware and software
  • Understanding of engineering processes & downstream impact.
  • Prefer truck/ automotive knowledge and expertise in job field and working knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Ability to lead meetings and be accountable and assertive for deliverables
  • Act with a sense of urgency, handling time sensitive issues.
