Job Summary
HGI is seeking an experienced accountant with proven knowledge of bookkeeping and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Works on month end bookkeeping duties in coordination with the V-P of Finance.
Reconciles various accounts and pays company bills.
Handles Aristotle field commissions' and finance tickets.
Investigating and assisting with accounting discrepancies.
Contributing to the development and enhancement of internal accounting controls.
Assists with financial analysis and reporting.
Performs other accounting duties as directed by the V-P of Finance.
Cross trains in commission accounting as needed and other finance department duties.
Primary Skills & Qualifications:
An experienced finance individual with an accounting degree with over 5 years’ accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP concepts and principles.
Strong Financial analysis skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
Ability to work without constant supervision.
Good organizational and stress management skills.
Good communication skills and time management skills.
A problem solver and results oriented.
