Position Summary & Highlights:
This position will work with a busy and established Foot & Ankle Surgeon, Dr. Hirose!
Saint Alphonsus hospital provides comprehensive care to patients who suffer musculoskeletal conditions or other foot and ankle injuries.
The Coughlin Clinic is one of only a handful of hospitals in the country where the Scandinavian Total Ankle Replacement (S.T.A.R.) is being used as a safe and viable alternative to ankle arthrodesis. Saint Alphonsus hospital provides comprehensive care to patients who suffer musculoskeletal conditions or other foot and ankle injuries.
Saint Alphonsus' foot and ankle team includes orthopedic surgeons who specialize in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. They treat the most common to the most complex cases and is active in clinical medical research, helping improve foot and ankle care for all their patients.
The clinic has a collaborative environment, and all the clinical staff work to support each other to care for all of their patients. While this position will be mostly supporting a new Podiatrist, you will also occasionally help support other providers.
The clinic supports open communication and transparency. They encourage team members to feel comfortable sharing ideas, feedback, and concerns. They also work hard to have an inclusive team environment. They enjoy potlucks and getting together outside of work for team building when possible.
What You Will Do:
Assist with procedures, drawing up injections, and wound care.
Also assist with casting, splinting, suture removal, and applying dressings.
Complete surgery scheduling, prior authorizations, and referrals.

Work Schedule:
40 hours/week, Mondays – Fridays, typically around the hours of 7:45am – 4:30pm.
Shift start and end time may vary based on provider's schedule and clinic needs.
Location:
1075 N. Curtis Rd, Ste. 300, Boise, Idaho 83706 (On the Boise Regional Medical Center campus)
In the future, this provider may see patients at the Eagle Health Plaza.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
*MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours
