Client Service Representative – Veterinary Receptionist Part-TimeOrange Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Part-time Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our hospital in Orange, CT. CSRs are valuable members of our veterinary team, and we treat them as such. As a CSR, you will be the client’s first and last impression of Orange Veterinary Hospital. It’s important that all clients feel welcome, safe, and comfortable which is why it takes a special person who can engage with both humans and animals alike with compassion, patience and understanding. The primary responsibility of a CSR is to be efficient in front desk operations while effectively bridging communication between pet owners and our veterinary team. - Deliver exceptional client service in a polite and timely manner in person and over the phone
- Schedule and confirm appointments based on client expectations, patient medical requirements and clinic needs
- Respond with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situations
- Maintain a clean, stocked and organized lobby and front office area
- Educate clients on wellness plans, food and products sold in the waiting room
- Perform opening and closing procedures including end of day reports and deposits
- Data Entry: efficiently and accurately process records, client questionnaires, referral information, etc.
- Admit Patients: ensure patients are weighted and confirm accurate information
- Perform client check-ins and check-outs, including reviewing invoices
- Process and document financial transactions accurately
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one year of client service experience required
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
- Understanding of veterinary terminology and ability to communicate medical situations with clients and the veterinary team
- Ability to triage (in person and over the phone) emergency situations
- Team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
- Must be able to work seated for the majority of the day
