About the role

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Repairs and maintains the restaurant equipment including but not limited to refrigerators, ice machine, and gas and electric appliances.
  2. Repairs and maintains the building and facility equipment including the air conditioning units, fans, and electrical panels.
  3. Performs routine preventative maintenance inspection and service on an annual cycle at all locations in assigned territory.
  4. Moves equipment between company properties.
  5. Responds to service calls.
  6. Records and reports damaged or broken parts for repair.
  7. Maintains a log of proper procedures for maintenance purposes and updates as necessary.
  8. Occasional planned travel between locations in multiple states that may include overnight stays.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customer or employees of the organization.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Specialized Training:

Previous experience working with food service equipment including but not limited to refrigeration, hot side equipment, plumbing, and electrical work.


Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License
