About the Role:

We are looking for a Contract Senior Employee Relations Specialist to sit at our Seattle HQ and work a hybrid schedule. You will consult with leaders on a variety of issues related to motivating, coaching, and addressing performance and behavior concerns with their team members. You will work with managers and team members to mediate & resolve conflict, develop performance improvement plans, and involuntary terminations of employment, including reviewing and developing appropriate documentation. We are looking for someone who can pair being constructively direct with compassionate partnership, all while having a bias for action and sweating the details.

You Will:

• Proactively guide managers in creating thoughtful and detailed performance improvement plans and determining appropriate action plans.
• Be an initial contact and liaison for team member concerns and issues.
• Conduct investigations and assess employee relations issues, providing fair, timely, and consistent resolutions.
• Manage employee relations activities, including mediating disputes and conflicts between team members and management.
• Collaborate with relevant partners to implement corrective actions when necessary.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in employee relations that includes managing multiple end-to-end workplace investigations in a fast-paced environment
• Great people and communication skills to partner with managers and employees
• Knowledge of employment laws and experience partnering with counsel
• Demonstrated ability to successfully mediate using conflict resolution techniques
• Experience using data to inform next steps and decisions
• Strong written communication skills and ability to synthesize information and present findings and recommendations effectively

Compensation Details. The starting base hourly range for this position is typically $55.77 - $69.71.
