OVERVIEW

The Junior Database Administrator is responsible for providing ongoing support maintaining HS/PRS Salesforce platform. The position will be involved with entry level to mid-level administrator functions such as user management, permissions, and providing end user support and data maintenance, including building new functions and processes to improve user end efficiency. Keys to success in this position include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build positive relationships with others, ability to manage multiple high-level tasks under pressure, follow basic troubleshooting techniques, processes, and to escalate as needed.  Experience with the Salesforce and Nonprofit Cloud Case Management (NCCM) platform is highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field with a minimum of three years required. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Program Manager for Data Systems with the Salesforce.org environment of 700 users 
  • Handle essential administrative functions, including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepares for upgrades
  • Manage Salesforce.org data feeds and other integrations 
  • Recommends design solutions that improve user experience, expand platform utilization, and align with the overall company strategy
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
  • Work with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.org skill set across the organization 
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors, and the application development teams
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements 
  • Reviews and resolves support ticket submissions and coordinates the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
  • Develops roadmap communications and negotiates priorities
  • Share pertinent information with senior management and operations team
  • Understand and comply with all policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related degree preferred;
  • Minimum of three years’ professional experience;
  • At least two years of experience working with Salesforce as an administrator preferred;
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption;
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity;
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.org best practices and functionality;
  • Strong data management abilities;
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion;
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements;
  • Experience with nonprofit processes preferred;
  • Position is remote and the candidate must have an appropriate workspace to complete documentation, client phone calls, and video conferencing;
  • Ability to prioritize duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team;
