HMS Apps continues to launch globally, with content apps such as HUAWEI Music, HUAWEI Video, HUAWEI Themes, HUAWEI Reader and HUAWEI Game Center taking center stage in various countries and regions.</p> <p><br/></p>About the Role <p><strong>Huawei Ireland Research Centre</strong> (IRC) mission is to position Huawei as a recognized technology leader and a global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions. To achieve this we are building an industry-recognized multi-discipline Research Centre of experts with focus on medium-term to long-term issues. The IRC will work closely with an open innovative ecosystem with Huawei customers to address real-world issues. The IRC will also engage with key European universities to build a basic research capability to support Huawei technical projects.</p> <p><strong>In this role</strong>, you will work as a researcher/research engineer in our UES (User Experience Service) and AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) team, which is conducting world-class and cutting edge research in the area of AI and data analytic for solving the most complex challenges in cloud services and user experience management that have not been possible before.</p> <p>Our team works closely with Consumer Business Group cloud service business unit. The team has a burning desire on intelligent automation, cost/performance and, experience optimization and achieved many technical breakthroughs over the past few years. Thus one of the main goal of this role is to leverage a wealth of operational data (metric, alarm, log, topology, text, feedbacks and API data) to intelligently automate many aspects of DevOps, service operations and experience optimization processes.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Investigate, develop and maintain scalable and efficient solutions to tackle business and research challenges in DevOps, AIOps, or MLOps domains for large scale cloud architecture.</li> <li>Work independently and with the team to deliver research PoCs or solutions.</li> <li>Design and development system components to translate research into production trials to achieve business goals and impacts.</li> <li>Participate in design and code review to ensure quality of solutions</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the solution delivery</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members where required</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Years of Industry experience to solve real-world problems or PhD in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, distributed system, AI, software engineering, etc.)</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to design and develop large scale software system</li> <li>Experience with large scale of cloud service management, service experience optimization in one or more of the following areas:<ul> <li>Performance and reliability management for very large single cloud cluster and federated cloud cluster architecture.</li> <li>Resource scheduling optimization, interference reduction and efficiency improvement related to large-scale container clusters for multiple business scopes.</li> <li>Dynamic allocation and on-demand isolation of network resources for microservices based cloud-native application runtimes</li> <li>Resource elasticity related to large scale microservices architecture having multiple indicators, and complex Infrastructure having heterogeneous computing resources</li> </ul> </li> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Privacy Statement</strong></p><p>Please read and understand our West European Recruitment Privacy Notice before submitting your personal data to Huawei so that you fully understand how we process and manage your personal data received.</p><p>http://career.huawei.com/reccampportal/portal/hrd/weu_rec_all.html <br/></p>
