NA Customer Care & Sales Development Representative II

Job Description

Come join Stepan's dynamic North America Customer Care and Sales Development Team as a motivated and results-driven NA Customer Care - Sales Development Representative II . In this position, you will be responsible for inside sales account management and service support. You will have a direct impact on the company's success and help shape our specialty chemical manufacturing business. 

Inside Sales/Account Management:
•    Effectively manage and help expand business with small to mid-sized accounts, primarily in the consumer cleaning and personal care markets.
•    Engage with customers independently to effectively identify opportunities and pathways for new sales growth.
•    Leverage marketing and sales enablement tools to help convert new leads into qualified accounts.
•    Demonstrate your tech-savvy and early proficiency in Stepan's sales systems, tools, and CRM to monitor and improve sales performance.

Service Support:
•    Serve as the primary commercial contact who is responsible for order management and delivering an optimal customer experience with a given region (territories).
•    Liaise between customers and internal teams such as Territory Sales, Customer Care, Technical Service, and Supply Chain to provide the timely and successful delivery of Stepan solutions to North America Tier 2/3 accounts.

Qualifications

•    At least 2-3 years of Technical Service or Customer Service experience. 
•    A minimum of 1-2 years of Inside Sales, Sales Development, or Technical Sales experience is preferred.
•    Chemical industry experience is preferred.
•    Knowledge of consumer markets (Personal Care, Hard Surface Care, Laundry and Fabric Care) is preferred.
•    Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com is preferred.

Education

•    Bachelor’s Degree required; science or science-business degree preferred.

 

Pay Range: $65,000 - $95,000
The salary range for this position is determined by considering a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
