Your New Role...

The primary role of the Sr. Research Coordinator will be to provide analytical support for the entire Content Sales research team (both transactional and licensing). The analytical support includes pulling regular viewing reports (US & Global), consumer tracking data, supporting the development of syndication decks, working directly with sales and marketing and ad hoc data requests for streaming, cable and syndication. In addition this position will be responsible for administrative support such as, coordinate meetings, track expenses, and other admin duties.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Analytical Responsibilities:
    • Pull Nielsen ratings to support syndication projects (such as Jennifer Hudson, + monthly network reports (SON), support global licensing initiatives with regular data analysis of international linear/streaming/consumer data
    • Data Management: Assist with Lifecycle tracker updates and premium reports
    • Project Support: Supports the development of syndication decks and ad hoc data requests
    • Intl research: Provide research support for international content sales, analyzing viewership of WB + competitive content across platforms, globally. Deliver insight on WBD's position in the international licensing landscape for sales executives.  Support WBCS community management in international markets
    • Specific examples: Weekly National Syndication Analysis of First Run and Off-Net Series for WBD and Competitive Titles.  Weekly WBD Canadian Series Trends for Dramas, Sitcoms, Non-Scripted and Talk Genres.  Buyer-specific custom sales slides used in Sales Pitches for WB Sitcom Decks (Bob Hearts Abishola), and First Run Series (True Crime News). Regular tracking of YouTube data (WB Clipzone channel initiative, ongoing market intelligence). Global views of IP ad hoc.
    • Maintain the department’s records of all key sales materials and key projects.
  • Admin Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate internal and cross-departmental meetings and events
    • Book travel arrangements and expense department reports in a timely manner
    • Track content sales research budget, submit vendor PO requests and support budget presentations

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience

  • Min. of 2-5 years experience in the Entertainment industry with hands on experience with film and TV licensing research
  • Broad industry knowledge of Nielsen television, online, and mobile reports, software, methodologies, and computations

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Consumer Research, Marketing or data analytics related field

Knowledge/Skills

  • 2-5 years entertainment research experience needed
  • Consumer/market research and insights either at a research firm or client-side consumer research function in a related area such as
  • Proficicency with with Nielsen custom reporting, Intl Digital-I streaming data
  • Strong Project Management skills a must to thrive in a very fast paced Sales environment
  • Assisting with a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research activities including collection and preparation of data, along with extraction and analysis of data from multiple sources to build summaries, tables, and report sections
  • Experience with other syndicated entertainment products such as Ampere, Mintel, MRI, GWI, and YT analytics.Entertainment trackers a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Strong storytelling/deck creation skills
  • Very strong quantitative, data tabulation, analytic thinking and data mining skills
  • Experience with managing a departmental budget
