Maintenance Coordinator

Day Shift 7am-3pm

Pay Rate $20/Hour

The Maintenance Coordinator, will work within the maintenance department to requisition maintenance equipment, parts, and supplies for Bluffton Facility utilizing the Maintenance Connection system. Monitor and adjust inventory levels to sustain the Facility.  Work with Service POs for work performed by outside contractors.  Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate requisitions in Maintenance Connection for all maintenance equipment, parts, and supply purchases.
• Solicits and reviews vendor quotations for all parts not included in automatic re-order point reports.
• Receive, label, and stock parts notifying the requisitioners of received shipments.
• Works with department supervisors to adjust inventory levels to minimum sustainable levels.
• Create purchase orders and associated work order for outside contractor services – Service POs.
• Review opportunities to consolidate vendors, negotiate pricing, and reduce maintenance costs.
• Maintain maintenance department records such as inspections and environmental records.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with SQF audit paperwork/requirements, safety items and monthly budgets.
• Provide maintenance reporting through the Maintenance Connection

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

• Interpersonal skills needed to work within the maintenance group and negotiate with vendors.
• Must be capable of making sound purchasing and business decisions.
• Position requires strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexible and resourceful to locate and requisition non-stock items to facilitate timely repairs.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs and Maintenance Connection.
• Must be capable of lifting 40 pounds.
