Cash AppAbout the role
Company Description
TIDAL was founded for artists by artists as the next innovative streaming platform to bring value back to the music industry. We empower artists with the products, resources, services, and content required to take control of their careers and connect more deeply with fans. Available in over 60+ countries, TIDAL continues to help artists break down economic barriers to continue creating what’s next in culture. TIDAL is part of Block, Inc. (NYSE: SQ), a global technology company with a focus on financial services.
Background
In the beginning of 2023 we established our Artist Engineering team dedicated to discovering, creating, building and shipping products for artists. As the engineering and product teams dedicated to artists over the last year have grown and scope increased, there is a need to evolve, adapt and prepare for the work ahead. At the same time, we are working on general improvements to enhance our product development process overall in TIDAL and have introduced the Product Trio Teams.
A product trio team comprises three roles: product management, design, and engineering. There is one lead for each of these roles. One of the motivations for product trio teams is to improve collaboration and communication between the different teams. This is foundational for creating great products. The trio is responsible for planning, prioritization and execution. They are empowered to make decisions about what the team builds and ships. We expect to see more innovations in having a team with clear ownership. A trio team will typically span multiple quarters/years and deliver many projects.
