FINANCE INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Finance Intern, you will be exposed to various aspects of Financial Accounting and Casino Accounting working with different levels of staff and management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will differ based on which area of accounting you are working in. This role is designed to give you exposure to an entry level accounting position in a casino environment while also allowing you to participate in higher-level tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH (STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES):   As the Accounting Intern, you will gain exposure to Accounting operations in three key areas, including General Ledger, Casino Accounting and Financial Analysis. As an intern at Caesars Entertainment, you are given the opportunity to work with our experienced accounting staff and learn the steps needed to “close the books”, from a jackpot on the casino floor to a financial statement for the Slot department. In addition, how that one jackpot ties into financial statements for the company. In addition, you will be exposed to our daily forecasting of revenue and expenses and help prepare the report that is distributed to upper management so they know how the company is performing on a daily basis.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Monthly Closing (observing process)
•   Observing the financial review process
•   Account Analysis (Bank Rec’s/Prepaids)
•   Review and Preparation of Daily Financial Reporting
•   Casino Audits
•   Additional related duties as requested

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
•   Currently pursuing, or completed coursework in a degree in the fields of Accounting, Business or Finance 
•   Experience with Excel and Spreadsheets
