Software Quality Engineer

Minitab is looking for a high-performing Software Quality Engineer who has a passion for software quality. A person in this role will demonstrate strong autonomy, professional curiosity, eagerness to find ways to improve the product, and desire to work on a highly collaborative team.

The Role:

• Work on a project team with emphasis on writing test scenarios with targeted datasets, performing manual tests, and investigating and reporting bugs.
• Participate in the development of new features, including reviews of designs, documentation, and software bugs.
• Develop and execute test plans for new or enhanced features in developed products and supporting components, including white and black box test strategies.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of areas in developed products and supporting components.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise in testing tools, techniques, and processes.
• With experience, lead small development projects.
• As your skills grow, share your testing, application, and technical knowledge with new team members.

 

The Candidate:

• Minimum Associate Degree in a technical field; Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline preferred; or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge or experience in development, research, or product testing for commercial software is desired.
• Working knowledge of Minitab Software and/or competitor statistical analysis software package is desired.
