About the Role:

The Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Americas B2B Pricing Team, based at Cherry Point. Working collaboratively with peers in trading, supply, and sales, this role will commercially manage pricing for fuels products in the spot discretionary channel of trade to meet BP volume and margin targets consistent with defined pricing frameworks. In addition, this role will lead the development of rack pricing analytics to develop the necessary tools and capability to fully harness our operational data and support various technology enablement projects. The role is integral in the growth ambitions of increasing our renewable diesel, biodiesel, and low carbon offers footprint!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of annual volume and margin plan.
  • For assigned locations and market areas, set daily fuel prices within established pricing frameworks.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of laws and regulations that impact pricing.
  • Develop recommendations on prices that meet protocols, margin and supply objectives.
  • Publish relevant performance reports on margins, volumes and competitive intelligence.
  • Support efforts, as needed, to resolve customer issues related to pricing.
  • Lead rack pricing analytics and provide term bid pricing floors to improve coordinated value.
  • Perform analysis required to inform pricing and supply performance.
  • Use business and financial knowledge to interpret data and provide analysis for use in the areas of benchmarking, forecasting and planning.
  • Collect and analyse competitive market data and fully understand our cost to serve for each market/product combination.
  • Across our West Coast FS&M and Cherry Point: support, continuously improve and promote standardization and standard methodologies for:
  • Methods and tools enabling efficient and error-free management of data from various sources into our analytical models.
  • The effective use of the software application PROS and SAP (used to transmit daily prices to our customers)
  • Clearing price analytics that enable our Sales teams to improve integrated value in both term bids and daily discretionary sales to underpin the optimal placement of our products
  • Support standard methodology adoption of digital technology and visualization:
  • Enhancing existing commercial decision making tools

Role Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree. Business, Finance, Engineering or related experience

Essential Experience

  • Knowledge of commercial/industrial operations, planning and/or supply processes
  • Experience in data management, analysis and/or modelling to improve understanding and decision making
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills and presentation skills.
  • Work experience in analytics and performance management.
  • Strong internal and external relationships and/or track record of considering competitive commercial options.
  • Great teammate with the ability to develop effective relationships within a team and influence others.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a relentless drive and determination to see complex opportunities and issues through to resolution.

Desired Experience

  • Use of complex commercial decision making tools in support of a business process (for example refinery LP)
  • Use of data management and data visualization software – for example Power BI, Tableau
  • Experience in Sales, Marketing, Supply or related area.
  • Previous exposure and/or interaction across the Supply and Trading interface, particularly the operational interface.
  • Strong leadership skills, with proven record of engaging peers and leadership across different disciplines.

How much we pay (Base): $109,000-$149,000 *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for US Benefits – Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours[LC1] of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
