JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T) Center at Penn State's Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to support research, education, and outreach initiatives focused on improving forensic nursing care for survivors of sexual violence.
Job Duties
- Administrative Support: Calendar management, correspondence, proofreading, purchasing, and event coordination.
- Communications: Create presentations, update marketing materials, manage website content and social media.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule meetings/webinars, prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage follow-up.
- Outreach Support: Coordinate with partners, submit conference abstracts, research stakeholders.
- Project Support: Documentation, inventory management, training preparation, and process improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
Necessary Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and web/creative tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress preferred)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable learning new computer software and technology
- Experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams)

About Our Program:
The SAFE-T Center at Penn State, and it's corresponding sexual assault forensic telehealth program (SAFE-T System), seeks to enhance specialty sexual assault forensic exam care in rural and underserved communities. Our nurse-led program is based out of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and housed at University Park, PA. We began in 2016 with a US Department of Justice Office of Victims of Crime grant and have since grown and expanded the program beyond Pennsylvania.
