Senior React Front End Developer

Purpose:

The Senior React Front-End Developer will combine technology and design to create inviting, easy-to-use software applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance and training to junior web development staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with back-end developers and other project participants to develop the overall look and design of website or software application.
• Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with QA and supervisor.
• Writes code with programming languages such as React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
• Translates our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.
• Produces, maintains, and modifies user interfaces.
• Creates tools that enhances the user experience.
• Ensures application is accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones.
• Ensures high quality graphic and performance standards and brand consistency.
• Gives constructive feedback and provides guidance on a regular basis to junior and mid-level developers.
• Leads projects with a small team of developers and/or QA/designers.
• Articulates impact or risks with code changes.
• Weighs business needs against technological preferences.
• Articulates costs of both financial, time, and risk, of technical debt.
• Justifies decisions that can be understood in layman’s terms in the context of our business.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with React JS, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or other similar design software.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on an assignment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least five years of related work experience highly preferred.
