About The Hospital
Thrive Catonsville is an urgent care practice located in Catonsville, Maryland. Our Veterinary Urgent Care Hospital is equipped to handle a wide range of critical and urgent need conditions.
The Urgent Care department has been designed to meet a key need in our community and hospital. We are a highly skilled staff and aim to provide efficient, compassionate care to patients with urgent need conditions so that they receive great care! In the Urgent Care department, we offer walk-in care for a variety of conditions. We stay in close contact with the primary veterinarians to ensure those patients return for ongoing care with their family vet.
In this position, you will play a vital role in easing the strain on our local emergency hospitals by providing immediate care for a variety of cases. Our urgent care veterinarians see both minor emergencies and more critical cases, including:
- Minor emergencies that are not life-threatening, such as lacerations, limping or painful pets, hypersensitivity reactions, vomiting and/or diarrhea without significant dehydration, ear infections causing discomfort, urinary tract infections, and FLUTD/FUS patients.
- More critical cases such as trauma, allergic reactions, respiratory distress, toxic ingestions, urethral obstructions, and patients in need of stabilization before transfer to specialty hospitals.
- Referrals from general practice veterinarians who are unable to see their patients in a timely manner, with cases that fit within the scope of care we provide.
By handling these cases, you’ll directly help alleviate the pressure on local ER hospitals, allowing them to focus on the most critical emergencies, while ensuring that our patients receive quality care in a timely manner.
We are open Monday – Sunday 10:00am - 10:00pm
Serving Catonsville and Baltimore surrounding areas.
