 Expeditor / Barista Job descriptionThe Barista/Expo position at Fielding’ s River Oaks is a key element in creating positive, memorable guest experience.  The position primary focus is: 1) Make coffee and non-alcohol beverages per the ticket. 2) Organize and deliver food to the tables according to seat number (Pivot point system). 3) Ring to-go food and deliver within the Novel building.  Other tasks apply from time to time such as organizing, cleaning, restocking etc. 

Essential Duties but not limited to:  Ø  Maintain a positive attitude in high stress situations  Ø  Make coffee and other non-alcoholic beverages to standard and expectation, ready for service  Ø  Have strong core menu food knowledge  Ø  Pack to-go orders to expectation  Ø  Be able to use the LAVU POS to ring food for to-go Orders  Ø  Deliver food and beverages to the guest table using the Pivot Point System  Ø  Posses a valid state Food Handlers License.  

Fielding’s will provide training as needed  Ø  Handle food and beverage in accordance with State and County food handler regulations Ø  Present a professional, positive, well kempt, well groomed appearance to standard  Ø  Be able to read food and beverage tickets  Ø  Be able to communicate with others in a positive manner  Ø  Work with the kitchen and service team to get the right food and beverage to the right guest using the Pivot point system (no food auction)    Competencies & Qualifications:  Ø  To make all coffees and beverages using equipment to stated recipes using stated procedures  Ø  Be able to handle hot and beverage plates safely  Ø  Have a true happy disposition  Ø  Bi-lingual a plus  Ø  Like highly fluid situations  Ø  Be able to think on your feet quickly  Ø  Demonstrate interest and share knowledge of food  Ø  Able to lift and carry 25 pounds  Ø  Able to follow directions  Ø  Develop rapport with food expert to understand the full range of Fielding’s products and services  Ø  Consistently search ways to improve and promote a high level of guest service  Ø  Review and discuss guest and Partner feedback  Ø  Treat guests and Partners with respect  Ø  Provide a risk free and safe working environment and experience  Ø  Apply accurate logic and common sense in decisions making or solving problems  Ø  Seek help and resources to achieve goals and objectives  Ø  Stay focused and detailed oriented while on duty and work through distractions  Ø   Able to identify, prioritize activities and modify work routines to eliminate wasted efforts  Ø  Follow guidelines and rules of Fielding’s culinary group  Ø  Speak clearly and logically to be understood and get the point across when communicating  Ø  Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manual  Compensation: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour
