We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Director ) Servicenow Developer.
Enterprise_Technology
Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.
Application Infrastructure (AI)
Application Infrastructure (AI) strives to maximize the business application developers’ productivity by centrally providing the core development lifecycle tools, core reusable software libraries and middleware thus minimizing duplicative efforts across silos. Our goal is to provide infrastructure that is broadly reusable, scalable, reliable and highly performant to meet the demanding needs of our applications.

What you’ll do in the role:
Core ServiceNow Responsibilities:
• ServiceNow Platform Development:
o Design, develop, configure, and customize applications, modules, and
workflows within the ServiceNow platform (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, App Engine).
o Implement and maintain solutions using ServiceNow best practices, including
Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Flow
Designer, Workflow Editor, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
o Develop and manage Service Catalog items, record producers, and order
guides.
o Configure and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and
its relationships.
o Create and maintain custom applications and modules using ServiceNow App
Engine and Studio.
o Optimize platform performance and usability.
o Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing
(UAT).
o Maintain technical documentation for ServiceNow configurations and
customizations.
• ServiceNow Administration & Maintenance [good to have]:
o Manage users, groups, and roles within ServiceNow.
o Handle system upgrades and ensure smooth transitions of existing
customizations to new versions.
o Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues within the
ServiceNow platform.
o Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Integration Domain Responsibilities (Leveraging Python):
• Integration Design and Development:
o Design, develop, and maintain robust integrations between ServiceNow and
various external systems, applications, and tools.
o Utilize various integration protocols and technologies, including:
▪ REST/SOAP APIs: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in
building and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services for data
exchange.
▪ Middleware/Integration Platforms: Experience with middleware solutions
or integration platforms, if applicable, for complex integration scenarios.
▪ Database Integrations: Connecting ServiceNow with external databases.
▪ LDAP/SSO Integrations: Implementing authentication and user
synchronization.
o Develop custom integration solutions using Python for scenarios where out-of
the-box ServiceNow
